Hell:
I really enjoyed getting this information on the 75th Infantry
Division. You
keep me informed on new members that have gotten on-line. In your
latest e-mail dated 98-2-8, there were members of sons of ones who
had fought at Appenwihr, France, also in the Colmar pocket. Our
regiment was in both of these places.
At Appenwihr the 289th regiment, Company E, our company went out to
attack, first at 0100, (it's a long story) Our captain was killed and some of
our men. Anyone wanting to know more, please give my e-mail address.

Thanks again.

I had contacted the 75th last year about a brunch of stuff that my
father had kept since the war. It includes a 75th book, newletters
from the 40's, and alot of other things that I believe he would enjoy
offering to the 75th to be seen by others. Since his death 2 years
ago, I have been holding these items and would like to donate
them to you and the 75th in his name.
Please contact me so that I could talk to someone and let them know what
I have and what you might be interest in.
My fathers name is Warren R. Blazy. He felt WWII as a first class
Lieutenant,
and then was called back into Korea. I am sure that some of the items
are a collection from both wars.
Again, please contact me so that we can make arrangements to exchange
the items that I have.
Thank You.

Subject: New 75th Div. Home Page

Dear Rolf - The new 75th Div. Home Page is superbly done!
Have spent Saturday morning checking out maps, speeches (glad to have
yours of 1995 in Atlanta). The pictures are great, too. Brings back
memories. We sincerely hope the new pages will create new contacts for
your search. Audri & I will be at the reunion in Spokane with friends
Ivan & Ellie Larson of Tacoma, WA. Ivan was with the 290th Inf. Reg't
of the 75th in the Plettenberg area. His e-mail address is:
ial1707@aol.com. We have notified Ivan of the new page.
Thank you so much - we look forward to sharing your creation with our
friends.

Sincerely, Chuck & Audri (our love to Anke & Doreen)

Dear friends,

thanks for your email ! I am glad that you like it. We are planning at
lot more things to put on our homepage. I will also put your friend into
our email register, so he will recieve our news. Hopefully, we will find
more veterans of the 75th with our website, that we can tell them, that
they have a veterans association (a lot of them, that found us, did not
know about the assn all the years. They typed in „75th Division" in the
searchmachine, and then found us)

Greetings from Germany

2.) A letter from Holland:

From Hugo Levels, Holland (translated):

Dear Mr. Wilmink,
last week I read in the Internet about the history of the 75th Division
in WWII.
Since 1986, I am interested in the military history of the „Venlo bridge
head" from end of September 1944 up to the 1 March 1945 (southeast
Holland, west from the Maas near Venlo and Roermond).

I have studied books in the archives and exchanged letters with german,
british and american soldiers to find details of the fall and winter
1944/45.

The 75th Inf Div came to our area near the Maasfront at the 19 Feb 1945
and moved to Germany at 1 March 1945. The division made only little
patrols along the Maas, but I would be very interested in details
regarding the division in our area. I have found same documents in the
last years and also some former soldiers of the Division, that could
tell me something.

I am looking for more members of the 75th Div, esp. of the 290th and
291st Regt. and the artillery units, that can tell from their memories.
Also I am looking for After Action Reports, diarys, journals or maps
regarding the Division in our area. The HQ of the Division was in
Helden/Panningen.

I hope you can help me to find more details, maybe I can also help you
with details.

Thank you very much in advance.

Sincerely,

Hugo Levels

5.) The 75th Division Marching Song

                          1.
We´re the Seven Five
Watch our zip and drive
For we´re on our way to victory.
Though the road is rough
And our task is tough
We are out to win, so let´s begin.
First we´ll smash the Hun
Keep him on the run
Then we´ll rap the Jap till Kingdome come.
So just keep an eye
As we march on by
For we´re the mighty Seventy-Five.

                          2.
Throughout all our ranks,
We are rugged Yanks
And our officers are all good guys.
They have skill and will
Give Hitler his fill
And all Nippon´s sons we aim to kill.
We are set, let´s go !
Berlin-Tokyo !
And we want the whole wide world to know
It´s been done before,
We´ll do it once more
For we´re the mighty Seventy-Five.
