75th Inf Div newsline No. 22
2. Nov. 1998

Hello veterans and friends of the 75th Division !

I wanted to save this edition until Veterans Day, but it is already so long that I have to send it out now.

Regarding veterans day: We are searching since a very long time for a 75th Division flag for our flagpole in front of the home of this newsline. Can somebody help ? Are also other member interested to display it at veterans day ? Did somebody buy a flag somewhere or has a connection to a flag producing company or could organinze it for the members ? We are also interested to display the US banner in the office. Can somebody send us a catalog of a company for indoor flags ?

Did the new members make some interesting contacts over our newsline ? Would be good to hear that we could help. Please send my a short (or long) email if you got the time. Thanks !

Stay healthy !

Greetings from Germany
Rolf G. Wilmink

Hi, Thank you for offering to check the roster for us, my dad does not remember too many names from the 897th, but he does remember Arthur Majeski (we are not sure of the spelling) and Col. Johnson.  He does not remember Col. Johnson's first name, but is trying to look it up.  He is excited to know about this organization and the reunions, I hope he can attend next year. Thanks again,Be well,Pamela Lane

Dear Rolf.

Q:#1.Thank you for the repeat of the 75th Div.newsline #21 dated Oct.28,98. We have had server problems, but this time it came through.  The recent problems at this end leads me to believe that I missed newsline #20 that you published, after I first contacted you.  If possible, I would appreciate a copy of #20.

A: I will send you the issue, but you can also read all the old issues on our webpage.

Q.#2   Do you know where I could locate German films or videos of the Bulge, Central France(Colmar Pocket) and the Rhineland (Ruhr Pocket)?  I have been trying to collect enough still pictures and American made videos of these conflicts.  I intend to make my own documentary of the 75th division.
